Blondo - Nebraska's fresh, accessible, energetic pop punk music weaves catchy melodies with lyrical stories inspired by people we’ve all encountered in our lives. The band's music is influenced by artists such as Blink-182, Green Day, and Jimmy Eat World. Blondo's first release, "Heritage" was a solo EP of original songs recorded in Lincoln, Nebraska and released on September 27, 2019, on the Coyote Face Record label.
Blondo's shows are fun and engaging and put crowds in a great mood. They perform regularly in Lincoln and Omaha, and recently opened for the Dylan Doyle Band and Real Friends, respectively, at the Reverb Lounge and the Slowdown.

Alex Malnack is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who has been writing and recording songs for several years. Blondo began as a pop-punk/alternative project with a self-released EP titled "Heritage" in the fall of 2019. The desire to play music live led Malnack to seek out some local, like-minded talent. Malnack joined a short-lived, yet highly-talented band, The Plain Greats, whose performers originated from several Nebraska towns. In that band, he was introduced to Tristan Moore and Garrett Helling. The trio clicked and the Blondo band was formed. They are now writing songs with hopes of recording new tracks soon. Malnack also lends his notable guitar skills to his father, Brent Malnack’s numerous recording projects.
Bass/vocals
Tristan Moore began his musical career at Chadron State college, playing trumpet in concert and pep bands, and for military funerals and services. In 2017, he began touring and performing with the ska-punk band, Mad Dog and The 20/20s. The band has shared the stage with The Toasters, Buck-O-Nine, Mephiskapheles, among many other bands across the Midwest. Moore set his trumpet aside and began playing bass with Blondo in 2021. The desire to rock out for friends and fans drives Tristan to perform actively in both bands!
Drums/vocals
Garrett Helling started his professional music career playing guitar in the metal band, Leighton. In 2015, he joined the alt-rock band, Radiant Bones, as a guitarist. In 2019, Radiant Bones garnered Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards nominations for Outstanding Rock and Outstanding New Artist with their debut EP, "True North." In addition to playing drums in Blondo, Helling also plays guitar for HoneyTown, a top-tier events band.
